You can always continue your coverage

If you leave your employer, you’re eligible to apply for a continuation option on your Income Protection insurance. What’s the appeal? For example, if you change jobs and your new fringe benefits package doesn’t include this coverage, or if you decide to go self-employed.

Individual continuation
If you change employer, you can apply for a continuation option on your Income Protection insurance.

With an individual continuation option, you take out a contract with AG Insurance in your own name that will pay out benefits if you are unable to work due to an occupational accident or injury.

To apply, you simply fill out the "Application for individual continuation coverage – occupational incapacity" form (NL or FR) and send it to:
