My Healthcare Card: what is this?
My Healthcare Card
With your My Healthcare Card, your pharmacy receipts will be forwarded to AG Employee Benefits automatically for reimbursement

Here's a story you can probably relate to. You've come home from the hospital, but still have to take medication during your convalescence. After picking up your prescriptions from the pharmacy, you are supposed to send in your itemised pharmacy receipts to your hospitalisation insurance for a refund. Of course, you find half of them days or weeks later, crumpled up in your pocket or – worse – you have no idea what you did with them.

With your My Healthcare Card, keeping track of these annoying little pieces of paper has become a thing of the past. How? Just hand your card to the pharmacist for scanning. Your itemised receipts will be forwarded to AG Insurance automatically, and you'll get your money back even faster than ever.

Your card is ready to use as soon as you have activated it. So don’t wait and activate your card today. All the information you need is below at ‘My Healthcare Card: how does it work?’.

Lost your card? Guess what: you have a virtual card stored in your app, so no need to bother with a physical card. Want a physical card anyway? Nothing could be simpler: just log in to your app (or your computer), go to "Digital Cards," select the card you'd like to request, and tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Then click "Request" and you're all set!

When to use your My Healthcare Card ? And when not to?

Your My Healthcare Card is really useful. But it can't work miracles for you (at least not yet). So read this to avoid any misunderstanding:

  • You can use the card only at pharmacies. You can't use it at the doctor's office or in hospital. If you are going to be admitted in hospital, it's advisable to report this beforehand.
  • My Healthcare Card cannot be used to make payments. After your pharmacist has scanned the card, your costs will automatically be sent to AG Employee Benefits for reimbursement. So don't forget to prepay your purchases.
  • Do not confuse your My Healthcare Card with the (optional) Medi-Assistance cards. See the differences below. You can use only the last card (the green one) at the pharmacy, and this is the only card that you must activate beforehand.
